Image resources

If you have a blog that requires images, or you’re just like me and like to have a few pictures in your posts to spice things up, you may have spent some time pulling your hair out while looking for a good image that doesn’t require you to pay royalties.

There are quite a few sites out there that offer royalty free images at a very low cost, such as 123rf.com, which is my personal favorite.  They simply allow you to purchase blocks of credits, then purchase your pictures at $.100 a piece.  No hassle, no problem.  The images are of pretty high quality for the most part, and you’ll find something at least very close to what you’re looking for.

If your needs are for something with no cost, you’re in luck.  the Daily Kos recently posted a compendium of public domain image links that is, quite honestly, so exhaustive that you’ll be very hard pressed to find a new site to add to the list!  (but if you do know of one, go let them know, share the wealth!)
